Psychometric Assessment

Psychometric Assessment

  • What are your strengths?
  • Have you got untapped potential - could you achieve more?
  • What sort of workplace suits you best?

Carefully designed, reputable questionnaires and assessments provide insight into how you tick. This helps you understand what works best for you in careers and in work relationships. We can offer:

Personality profiles
Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and 16 Personality Factors (16PF5)

These two profiles work in slightly different ways but both can give you a profile that will help you understand yourself and other people. They explain why you might find some types of work interesting and others boring, what sort of situations put you under pressure and what you need in order to perform at your best. They can show how you relate to others and how you contribute to a team's effort. Understanding your strengths and needs will help you communicate effectively with your manager and colleagues, and also at job interviews.

Aptitude assessments
General Ability Tests, Critical Thinking and Numerical Reasoning Appraisals

The five General Ability Tests allow you to compare your aptitude with that of other people, and to identify your strengths over five different types of ability - Verbal, Non-verbal and Numerical reasoning, Spatial ability and Mechanical reasoning.
The Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal and the Rust Advanced Numerical Reasoning Appraisal are often used in recruitment and selection of people aiming for professional and managerial positions. They can also help you assess your reasoning skills through practical exercises that reflect the demands of these work roles.

Time Required: Varies, depending on the assessments chosen. There are two stages:
1 - Answering the questions - paper and pencil exercises lasting at least one hour, with the option of working online in your own time in the case of the personality questionnaires.
2 - Receiving and discussing the results to make sure you fully understand them and how to use the information to make decisions and move forward - at least one hour meeting.

Cost: Including one or more assessments in your guidance and coaching will normally add at least £100 to the cost.
