Career Coaching
- Are you stuck in your career?
- Have you set a goal but found it hard to make it happen?
- Are work problems or team issues getting you down?
Coaching involves regular meetings to keep focused on what you want to achieve. This might be a life or career goal, or about improving interpersonal relationships.
I'll suggest activities to help you work out what you want to change and how to make those changes happen. We'll see if anything is stopping you, and plan to overcome the obstacles, so you can get where you want to be.
We often use Psychometric Assessment (especially the Myers Briggs Type Indicator) in the coaching. Learning about your profile helps you understand your strengths and motivations, and how you come across to others. Knowing this can help you play to your strengths and move forward.
For job interviews, we have a two-hour programme that starts with an analysis of the job you are aiming for, then highlights how your skills and experience match what the employer needs. We then look at how you can describe and explain your qualities and experience convincingly, so the interviewers can really believe in you. We'll look at first impressions, to make sure your appearance and your manner are suited to the type of role you are applying for. You'll have a chance to practice and receive feedback, and get a booklet to keep as a reminder for future interviews.
