Employee Support - Redundancy and Outplacement
Do you have people at risk or under notice of redundancy?
You'll want to support each individual as much as you can through this difficult transition.
That support may come better from someone outside the organisation, who can:
- Provide a safe and confidential space for the individual to express their fears
and concerns - Offer career guidance to identify future career goals and make an action plan
- Help them produce a good CV, and complete application forms
- Coach them to perform at interviews
- Continue to support them after they leave
Ann has worked for over 15 years with companies and public sector organisations including:
- Baker Perkins plc
- Cambridgeshire County Council
- Cision UK Ltd
- The Papworth Trust
- MIUK Ltd
We'll come and meet with you to discuss your needs,
then tailor a programme for you. You'll select the right mix of:
- Group workshops
- Individual 1:1 coaching
- Enhanced packages for senior staff
Ann often puts together a team of associate advisers to offer a full range of support.
We are happy to deliver our services on your premises
throughout Eastern and Central England, including London.

Employee Support - Coaching
Coaching is an employee benefit that also benefits your organisation.
Employers make Ann's service available for individuals when they are:
- Stuck in their career, having outgrown their position but unsure of their next move
- Wanting to progress within the organisation but lacking confidence or focus
- Unsettled in their team, maybe due to personalities or relationship issues
- Newly promoted and wanting support and reassurance to develop their role
Ann draws on a range of exercises and interventions, in consultation with the individual, starting with an agreement of what they hope to achieve through the coaching. Features include:
- A model to structure and focus the work - either GROW or Egan's 3 stage model
- Psychometric personality instruments to explore individual traits, qualities and motivations:
- Myers Briggs Type Indicator raises self awareness and celebrates strengths
- 16PF helps people gauge themselves in relation to others
- Career guidance software to re-assess career goals and set specific targets
- Goal setting and prioritising, to choose what can realistically be changed
- Coaching techniques such as role play, timelines and visualisation, to internalise the new insights and lead to change
We offer an initial package of 7 hours usually split into between three and five meetings, with the option of further meetings either in person or by phone.

Team Development
Teams that have worked together for a while can become set in their ways with fixed views about each other and what can be achieved.
New teams may need some time out to get to know each other and bond, to work through the storming so that they can move on to norming and performing!
Your managers will be skilled at developing their own teams but sometimes a facilitator coming in from outside provides a fresh approach. Ann and colleagues have worked with teams for many years, introducing exercises to make them think a bit differently.
Belbin Team Roles and Myers Briggs Type Indicator form the basis of many of our exercises.
We want your teams to have fun as well as time for reflection, all in a safe atmosphere that values each person as a unique individual.
People will come away with new understanding of themselves and of each other, and we'll ask the team to set some joint goals and agree on an action plan.

Psychometrics for Selection
Interviews, as we know, allow some candidates to shine more strongly than others, even when they are well planned and structured. It can be a while before a new employee reveals the full extent of their ability and personality. Sometimes, things don't work out as hoped.
Testing and assessment (using British Psychological Society approved instruments) provide another angle on the candidate.
They help to level the playing field, and give you more information
on which to base your decision.
The personality assessment 16PF asks the candidate around 20 questions about each of 16 aspects of their personality. Ann has used 16PF for more than 15 years and gained in-depth understanding of what it can (and cannot) tell us about a person’s likely suitability for a variety of positions. It can shed light on their:
- Conscientiousness and reliability
- Time management
- Leadership style
- Team behaviour
- Influence and persuasiveness
- Creativity
- Assertiveness
- Empathy
- Drive and goal focus
- Behaviour under pressure
We'll give you a 16PF report that alerts you to issues that need probing, with set questions to help you.
We can also test intellectual aptitudes including:
- Verbal, Abstract (theoretical), Numerical and/or Mechanical reasoning and Spatial/visual awareness
- Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving – using the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal
